Abundance of waste,

Scarcity of protein.

Does ’protein made from waste’ sound like sci-fi to you? It’s not.

Cirkulär’s up-cycling technology unlocks sustainable, high-quality, and affordable fungal protein with endless potential— all made from what past you would have considered useless.

From cell to solution

Cirkulär’s technology leverages cutting-edge genetic and fermentation engineering to build customized fungal cell factories. With a keen focus on filamentous fungi, we effectively upcycle industrial side streams, converting underutilized or valueless waste into high-quality bio-based products. Our technology, rooted in the principles of the circular economy, allows us to produce sustainable, cost-efficient ingredients, novel materials, and chemical components tailored to meet diverse industrial requirements.

Through this revolutionary waste-to-value approach, we serve multiple industries, offering custom solutions while reducing our environmental impact. It’s our response to the demands and needs of our customers, consumers, and the planet. It’s an innovative strategy that ensures we are contributing to sustainability and resilience, now and for years to come.

Going Cirkulär

Delivering tailored solutions while ensuring scalability – that’s circular production the Cirkulär way.

INPUT

Sustainable biomass feedstock in the form of by-products primarily from the paper and pulp industry, which would otherwise be burned, and our specifically developed fungi microbes from our labs.

BIO PRODUCTION

Our specifically developed fungi microbes grow in a proprietary fermentation process co-located with the feedstock provider, converting by-product nutrients into fungi. The fermentation broth, rich in fungi, is then dewatered, washed, and gently dried into our end product – Mycomeal.

OUTPUT

Mycomeal – a fungal biomass consisting of high-quality proteins, healthy fibers, and nutrients, with multiple end applications in the B2B bio-based ingredients markets.
